HABE Year 7 and 10 Teams Do The Double!
Our Year 7 cohort opened their HABE sport journeys with an emphatic Harris Cup victory.
The boys had to get through some tough games, but eventually arrived at Crystal Palace FC’s Academy’s training base full of confidence. They had Harris Falconwood awaiting them in the final.
After a close first-half finished 0-0, Mr Breeden had a positive team-talk with the boys. Finally, after a strong second-half, Andrew P scored the winner from the outside of the box.
After the Year 7 final, the Year 10s travelled to the same location knowing that this would be their last game in the Harris Cup representing HABE. The boys and Mr Shone knew that they deserved a trophy after the season they have had.
After a nervous first ten minutes, the boys settled down and started to play their football. In the end, they earned a comfortable 6-3 victory over Harris Falconwood. The boys lifted the trophy and celebrated, only to bump into Patrick Viera in the car park. There were some very happy Crystal Palace fans amongst the team!
The PE department are extremely proud of both teams and all students that were involved in extra-curricular sport this year. HABE has done the double... how much success can we have next year?!
