Rugby Success at HABE This Term
It has been a successful start to the season for Harris Beckenham Rugby with 13 games played across 3 age groups, with 10 of them being wins. The U14’s have progressed into the quarter finals of the Kent Shield for the first time in the Academy’s history, beating strong opposition from Darrick Wood and Leigh Tech Academy. The boys will be travelling to Dartford to play Wilmington Grammar on the 10th November.
Both the U12’s and U14’s are also through to the quarter finals of the Harris Federation cup with the U13’s playing their 2nd round match after half term. The U13’s are showing vast improvements in their Rugby this year, narrowly losing to Hayes and Edenham schools. Our U12’s age group is our largest yet with a total of 40 students consistently attending training every Wednesday. They are looking forward to their upcoming fixtures against Dulwich College, Hayes School and a Langley Park rematch.
On Friday 3rd December we will be hosting the annual U13’s Beckenham Schools floodlit tournament at Beckenham RFC where we hope to claim the title against Edenham, Langley Park and Bishop Thomas Grant School.
HABE Rugby continues to go from strength to strength and we are looking forward to another successful term ahead!
