Victory on the Courts

The U13 and U14 netball teams were both victorious in recent fixtures against Harris Academy Orpington. The U13’s won 22-1 with spectacular defensive play from Sophie Power (GK), Renee Bel Momodu (GD) and Katrine Reoutov (WD) who stopped HAO from entering the attacking shooting circle throughout the 3rd and 4th quarters.

Linking play from Emily Murphy (C) and Lily Walker (WA) allowed Millie Smith (GA) to score some outstanding goals from the edge of the circle. Noticeable performances included, Zahra Mann McLeod (GS), Favour Eguzoro (GS), Izzabelle McGuinness (C) with a special mention to Mickaelah Gayle who even played for the opposition after their player got injured.

The U14’s won 18-7 with fantastic goals from Lily Burns (GA), Abbie Phillips (GA) and Kasey Murphy (GS). Sabina Covrig (C) showed excellent resilience by returning to play in the final quarter after injuring herself earlier in the match. A fantastic example of team spirit and perseverance saw the U14’s outwit their opposition to hold possession of the game for duration. This was made possible by a solid defence from Nicole Johnson (GD), Lamarra Owusu (GK) and Arianna Amati (WD). Player’s player was awarded to Millie Riley (WA). Well done on such a fantastic result to both teams!
