Dear HABE I had the privilege to referee your u18 boy's team v Tunbridge Wells Grammar. Although the HABE team were beaten the way they conducted themselves deserves praise & recognition. You should be proud of the young men who represented their school today. # Referee

Parent feedback on our Carol Concert I was hugely impressed with the quality of the performances at the HABE concert last night. The concert band were excellent by any measure - first class. The Yr7 choir, chamber choir and soloists were also incredible as was the Year 7 choir.

Excited HABE Students Attend the Ladies FA Cup Final at Wembley

As we reached Wembley Stadium on Saturday afternoon excitement buzzed around as the sun shone onto the nervous fans, wearing Birmingham and Manchester City t-shirts. We captured our excitement as we posed in front of the stadium and realised how large it was. However, inside the atmosphere was larger than life as the players began to prepare themselves for the game ahead.

All lined up as they walked out onto the freshly cut grass which danced under the sun’s spotlight. The noise from the supporters echoed around the stadium in solidarity for their respective teams. 17.15, the national anthem is sung and the referees whistle screeched to signify the start of the game. The ball was tossed between colourful boots, making long and short passes.

The Man City fans jump to their feet, Lucy Bronze scores the first goal in this tense FA Cup Final. Screams of happiness fly into the air while Birmingham fans drop their heads. Three more goals follow before half time and Man City look as though they have the trophy in sight.

Birmingham come out fighting at the start of the second half and manage to pull one back to make it 3-1. However Man City press high and break down the Birmingham defence once more to make it 4-1.

Man City are victorious and crowned the Women’s FA Cup Winners! They climb the stairs to receive their trophy and raise it to the sky as they celebrate their victory.

A thoroughly enjoyable day out and one I will remember!
