“Let Them Loose!” – National Writing Day
June 21st was National Writing Day and students at the Academy celebrated it by taking part in a National writing task organised by the English and Media Centre entitled “Let Them Loose!” What the students were going to write about was kept a mystery and only revealed by the EMC on Wednesday morning, but as soon as it came in our students unleashed the power of their pens and the results were astounding. Despite the heat, our students revealed just how creative and skilled they were when it came to writing. They produced poems, short stories, passionate speeches and even rap songs which some proudly performed for their class.
