Move It Exhibition: Dance and Performing Arts 2016
Equipped with their practical kit, 30 excited students made their way down the smoke filled red carpet and into the Move It Exhibition for Dance and Performing Arts. The exhibition was full of bustling stalls where students were able to gain an insight into a plethora of dance styles ranging from the more traditional styles; ballet, tap and jazz to more innovative styles such as keep-fit street dance! Students were even given freebies including water bottles, bags and glittery pens!
Overshadowing all the stalls was the continuous flow of talent from Dance Universities, colleges and companies on the main stage and the up-and-coming talent showcased on the free-styling platform which had students in awe all day.
To finish off their day, each student took part in a street dance workshop run by a professional dance company. Two students; Laela Hazelwood and Freya Graham were congratulated for their enthusiastic effort during the workshops! It was a fantastic trip enjoyed by everyone (including the teachers!) and left students feeling inspired.
