Parent feedback on our Carol Concert I was hugely impressed with the quality of the performances at the HABE concert last night. The concert band were excellent by any measure - first class. The Yr7 choir, chamber choir and soloists were also incredible as was the Year 7 choir.

STOPWATCH Theatre Company Presents...

'I Love You, Mum – I Promise I Won’t Die' - by Mark Wheeller

As part of our PSHE programme, students attended a performance of Mark Wheeler’s play: I love you Mum-I promise I won’t die.  The production is sadly based around the tragic events leading to a local boy’s, Daniel Spargo-Mabbs, death due to trying for the first time a drug called MDMA.  The theatre production of Dan’s story was followed immediately by an interactive drama workshop in which the whole audience participated, that focused on informed decision making and risk awareness. Stopwatch theatre company left no student in doubt that they always have a choice about the decisions they make and that the risks associated with illegal substance misuse are incredibly high. Students were informed of the facts that will help them make informed decisions and some tools to put their decisions into practice in a pressured situation.
