Can You Uncover the Truth?
Today the Post 16 students took part in a theatrical workshop exploring consent, addiction, abuse, homosexuality and self-esteem. The workshop was run by Tip of the Iceberg Theatre Co. where they used challenging performances as a springboard for interactive workshops. These activities allowed our students to examine their own attitudes, ideas and behaviours in relation to difficult, contentious and sensitive topics. The story unfolded as part of a police investigation and follows a year in the life of three 18 year olds to uncover the truth behind an incident that connects them all. It was soon apparent from the performance that everyone had a different perspective, a different motive and none of them could be objective when it came to their relationships.
This event is part of our PSHE programme for our students to ensure that they receive a holistic education regarding real-life issues and challenges.
