HABE Rugby Success this Term

It has been another successful term for HABE Rugby with five year groups representing the Academy and over 100 boys involved. The annual Beckenham Schools Floodlit Festival and the Varsity Twickenham Trip are two fantastic highlights from this term.

After four years of hard work and determination we finally brought back the trophy for the floodlit festival to where it belongs. The year 8 boys showed fantastic resilience throughout the evening against some strong opposition. Shaun Bartley achieved player of the tournament scoring 7 tries in three games. The students represented the Academy in an exemplary manner and with immense pride.

Our annual year 7 trip to the Twickenham Varsity match was another great success. Our 19 Rugby players embarked on a fantastic day at the home of English Rugby. Our students were inspired by the Rugby on show and are looking forward to the second part of the season.
