SOLD! At Christie's Auction House
On Tuesday 12th of July the Harris experience group of 13 students set off to sell their art at Christie’s in London. Our art was based on the government controlling and surveying the freedom of the people. We had spent a long time preparing the piece so when we saw it displayed at Christie’s we were extremely proud of what we had achieved by working together.
When we eventually arrived at Christie’s we all realized what a great opportunity we had. Next we were briefed on auctioning by two professionals. We had faith in our auctioneer, Oscar. Finally the auction started and we were ready to make money! The lots went by until lot 5, ours! After a bidding war between Ms Hickey, Mr Hoods and Lord Harris our art was sold to Lord Harris for £400. This turned out to be the winning sale of the day and I am pleased to announce that Lord Harris will be hanging the art in the new building when it is constructed.
