EASY WIN FOR BECKENHAM U12s!
After last week's narrow defeat in the ESFA National Cup against Chobham, Beckenham romped home against Falconwood with a score of 2-0 in the First Round of the Harris Federation Cup.
With dark drawing in early, the game was played under minimal light, and Falconwood started by demonstrating lots of pace and determination, presenting a threatening team. Luckily this was countered by Ronnie Davies, who returned to the side for his first game since October, and Bobby Bakay who both made some good saves, keeping Falconwood out of contention.
The first goal came from a long goal kick in the 12th minute, which took Falconwood by surprise as Joe Barnes-Austin used his pace to win the ball and slide the ball home, securing a lead. The second goal was beautifully crafted, with almost every Beckenham player having a touch of the ball, before Adam Clarke chipped it over a Falconwood defender giving Joe Barnes-Austin the opportunity to volley it into the roof of the net.
The players adopted a reflective and resilient approach after last week's match and come stomping home. Well done Beckenham!
